Gratitude

Gratitude is one of the character strengths!

“In fact, it is one of the key strengths for enjoying life. A grateful person is not just someone who remembers to say ‘thankyou’, though they do.  Crucially, a grateful person focuses on the good things they have rather than on the things they do not have.. (pg 147 Celebrating strengths by J. Eades)

Each time I walk past these simple pansies by my front door I am thankful for their colour and how cheery they look!  Last week I saw a teacher stand with her class against a wall, face the sun and feel the warmth on a cold day! What a wonderful thing to help kids be aware of!!

What could the students in your class be encouraged to be grateful for?

What things can you be grateful for today?
