Simple ideas that make a difference

I really enjoy the Christmas season. But, sometimes I get to the end of the day and realise that I have not given as much attention as I would have liked to my own kids.

Christmas for some is a time of big family gatherings, for others it is a more intimate affair. Sometimes it is difficult to find that mind-space and time to savour the moment and love those close to you.

I read a blog titled “7 simple ways to make the most important people in your life feel important.”

Below is my brief summary of it that I have pinned on my wall. May you too find it encouraging, helpful and  practical as you love those around you during this blessed time of the year.

  1. I love this list. Another great thing I heard, was to give someone the gift of time. Spending that extra time visiting your parents, friends etc. As your list says, the gift of really taking the time to listen to conversations, play that extra long game of Monopoly with your kids or phone or write to someone important, rather than social media or texting. I’ll call you soon, but until then have a wonderful Christmas with your fabulous family xxx
