Perseverance workshop

“Give the gift of teaching your children to love challenges,
be intrigued by mistakes,
enjoy effort and keep on learning.” (Carol Dweck)

“Perseverance is a necessary skill for discovering new ideas, and experiencing
setbacks or failures, re-drafting, and re-planning are all necessary steps towards
developing it.  Perseverance enables us to:
learn from our failures, forge ahead with new and better information.”
(Parent Toolkit Nov 17 2014)

I am really excited! I am taking on a challenge,  practicing what I preach and running a workshop for parents titled
“Helping our kids to develop perseverance in an instant society.”
In it I will be looking at the research behind perseverance and 7 ways we can help our kids to grow in perseverance.

You are welcome to attend. It is at West Beach Primary School in the library, tomorrow, 9th March (sorry about the late notice!) with 3 time options being offered – 9:00, 2:30 and 7:30, with a duration of approximately 50 minutes.
If you are in the area I would love to see you there.
